The Design

The P8 Design was the culmination of knowledge accumulated by John Joyce during his years with Colin Chapman at Lotus, plus his own ideas on how a racing car should be constructed and set up. The P8 design was revolutionary for its time, but some of the systems included in the P8, such as the Bowin adjustable rising rate suspension, made the car too new and different and as a result had critics.[1]
