The entire collection of historical car drawings have been kindly made available to the public by the Joyce Family. They were drawn in the days beforeComputer-Aided_DesignCAD systems were invented such as
Autocad, when all drawings were still being done by hand. This unique collection of racing car drawings represents a unique time in Australian motor racing history between 1960's to 1970's.

Bowin P3/P3A
In 1968, the Bowin P3 Formula II was a bold new project to give Australia a fully professional monocoque racing car. The P3 was designed for ANF-1 and 1.5 litre categories, but mainly raced in the Formula Two class. The car was designed by John Joyce founder of Bowin Cars and assisted by Ray Parson's.

I believe this project relates to Frank Matich's A50 tub. Construction was entrusted largely to Bowin. The A50 went onto to win the 1971 Australian Grand Prix.[1]

This project relates to the "Super" Falcon GTHO Touring Car driven by 'Big Pete' Geoghegan in the 1972 Bathurst 500. Bowin modified the front & rear geometry to improve the handling of the car. It worked! Because Geoghegan went on to beat Allan Moffat by less than a second at Bathurst, in what is regarded as the greatest touring car race in Australian's history.[2].
